How to Operate the Cement Silo of Concrete Batching Plant Correctly

It is of great importance to correctly operate Cement silo which is one of the auxiliary equivalents of concrete batching plan equipment. So, how to operate the cement silo scientifically and correctly when concrete batching plant works normally.

The followings are the right operation of cement silo of concrete batching plant introduced by BONA.

1. When cement silo in bulk is working, the cement silo must be erected by special crane and then is placed on the concrete foundation prepared in advance. Then the users should examine the perpendicularity between the erected cement silo and horizontal plane and weld the bottom of cement silo and based embedded parts firmly.

2. After the storage bin is fixed, the bulk cement truck will convey cement to construction site, the delivery line of bulk cement truck connects with the feeding line of cement silo and the cement in the tank is conveyed to the cement silo by gas pressure.

3. In the process of conveying cement to storage bin, the operator should constantly press the button of the vibration motor of precipitate and shake off the concrete which adheres to the bag of precipitate. It can avoid the block of bag and the explosion of cement silo.

4. When the bag of precipitate is blocked completely, the pressure in the cement silo will exceed the safety pressure of safety valve on the top of the cement silo. Then the safety valve will open to release pressure in the cement silo in order to prevent the explosion of cement silo.

5. According to the material level, we can judge the cement silo is full or is shortage of material.

6. When discharging, open the manual discharging valve on the bottom of cone and convey the cement by cement conveyor. In the process of discharging, if there is “arch camber” in concrete batching plant, press the button of the magneticvalve of arch breaker to blow which can eliminate “arch camber” and ensure the fluent supply of cement.

7. When there is something wrong with cement conveyor (screw conveyor), first close the manual discharging valve on the bottom of cement silo to avoid cement overflowing which is a waste of cement.
